Mandala’s Green brings seventeen years of Pacific Northwest gardening experience to Seattle area landscapes. The care and attention we provide is founded on a deep love of gardens and the natural world. We are committed to organic, ecologically sustainable gardening practices to create beautiful, healthy landscapes. Our services include fine garden care, renovation and container gardening. We are happy working with the homeowner, landscape architect and landscape designer. OUR SERVICES Garden Care A carefully tended garden is a source of beauty in every season. As gardeners do, we follow the seasonal cycles of growth and dormancy, providing timely services that include feeding and amending the soil, mulching, seasonal pruning, specialty pruning, planting, transplanting, weeding, trimming and staking, deadheading and more. Key to our garden care is soil health. Naturally healthy soil creates naturally healthy gardens. We use organic fertilizers, soil amendments, compost, compost tea and mycorrhizae (beneficial fungi). When needed, we recommend soil testing. We provide weekly, bi-weekly, monthly or seasonal garden care dependent upon the garden’s need. The routine observation that happens with regular garden care affords us the opportunity to “check the pulse of the garden” and be aware of imbalances should they occur. Renovation Often gardens left to their own devices become overgrown, chaotic, and confusing. Simply put, for more than a few people, the garden in this state can be overwhelming. Mandala’s Green excels in sorting through this particular type of chaos. If in your gardening efforts you feel that you need a little (or a lot more) guidance we offer design/renovation solutions along with our garden care services. Many of our long-term clients started working with us at this particular point of overwhelm. Container Gardening Broadly speaking, container gardening defines a wide range of application. We provide dramatic stand-alone installations at entrances or groupings of differently sized containers for terraces, rooftops, and townhouse courtyards. Containers create beauty and serve many functions in a garden. Properly placed they provide screening or shade, they dramatically punctuate existing architectural detail; and they seamlessly transition us between our inside and outside environments. Carefully chosen, properly placed, and correctly maintained, beautiful containers provide instant appeal, creating focal points that provide seasonal color and emphasis.
